Harry Bouras' sculpture is included in collections in Chicago, New York, Detroit and Aspen, Colo., as well as Tokyo and New Delhi. As a painter, he exhibited in numerous one-man shows in the United States and abroad. His work is in permanent collections at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art and in Rochester, N.Y., and Tokyo.
Mr. Bouras earned a master of fine arts degree at the University of Illinois and also did postgraduate study at the University of Chicago.
He was an artist-in-residence at the University of Chicago from 1962 to 1964 and at Northwestern University from 1965 to 1967. Mr. Bouras taught at Columbia College from 1964 to 1989.
